Spidey is back!

A new show is announced! Well it's kind of old news but it was officially announced at Comic-Con '07. I really hope this one is quality because the MTV 3D attempt was a big failure in my opinion. The Spectacular Spiderman will star a 16 year old Peter Parker who is in his third year of high school.

Some things to keep in mind:
  • Web shooters are back!
  • Will debut on CW (yeah i know) early 2008
  • All the major ladies are back! (Gwen, MJ, Sally, Liz, Betty and Felicia)
  • It will start from the very begining
  • It is heavily influenced by the original Lee and Ditko Spiderman series in 60s
Verdict: Yay!

Post E3

Well another E3 has come and gone, and this by far has been the weakest one. Granted, the press conferences had the hype and fireworks as always but the show floor was dispersed throughout the city.

For E3 this year, I relied on G4. BIG MISTAKE! G4's coverage of the conferences was horrendous. They would cut to break at the most awkward times and would often not show source footage of game play. Instead a stupid camera guy would film it from afar. That was all not too bad, until the unthinkable happened. They cut to commercial during the HALO 3 trailer! How can G4 screw so many people over like that? I know they later showed the whole trailer but it took them numerous attempts. It was so bad that one time they accidentally aired the OLD Halo 3 trailer from past E3. Anyways G4 sucks, E3 sucked and Nintendo's press conference was boring. Sony came out on top, while Microsoft had a strong second place finish.

Back in School

I am back in my dorms at San Jose State and have started the Spring semester. It's been nice seeing some familiar faces again. The bad news is I can't play my PS3 until school ends. What a bummer! Just when Sony released a new update the fixes some big issues. It's okay, I'll survive. I hope. Gotta go, got lots of homework.

The Return of Kratos

God of War 2 arrives March 13th, 2007.

God of War woke me up. It made me realize why I bought my Playstation 2. It reminded me why David Jaffe kicks so much ass. It made me a new man. Point is, I like it. The sequel is on the way, bigger and better than ever. The standard $50 game will be a 2-disc set. Disc one contains the game and Disc two contains extras such as behind the scenes and other goodies.

We are still on track to get the demo out in the early part of next months so when I get the word that the demos are in I will post something and let you guys know that your discs will be showing up soon!! Sweet...Christmas in February.

The Birth of Heroes

So I have recently sat down to check out Heroes because of all the good things I have been hearing. The first few episodes were quality but still wasn't all the great. It was after the fourth episode I was hooked.

SPOILERS AHEAD

Hiro comes from the future, looking badass with his sword, to warn Peter. He tells him "Save the cheerleader, save the world." That scene was all I needed. The show does a good job of developing the characters and making their struggle seem believable. Like all that is possible. One thing that has bothered me is Niki/Jessica. She seems to be out of the loop of it all. She doesn't really seem to fit the characteristics of the others. Hiro can bend time, Peter can absorb powers, Nathan can fly, Matt can hear thoughts and so on. But Niki has an alter ego. I sure hope there is more to the Niki character. I was also somewhat shocked to find out her son, Micah, has abilities as well. He seems to be totally capable of handling his powers without any trouble. Micah isn't afraid of his powers. Granted we have only seen him use his powers once (telephone). To be quite honest I was not interested in the Micah character at all. In fact I thought he was quite annoying but the fact that he has powers changed everything.

SPOILERS END

I can't wait for the series to continue where it left off. Meanwhile I will be busy visiting Hiro's blog and the 9th Wonders forum. If you have seen the show don't forget to check out the online comics.

Oh and checkout Herocast.
